What is Eternal Drift?
Geo here, Founder, and captain on board of ForgeEnclave, the company behind Eternal drift. Thanks for checking this out. You being here and showing interest in this project means a lot already.
ForgeEnclave has been around the miniature scene for a bit already, and was originally focusing on commission painting, with mostly, Sci-fi projects. I’ve had a blast with many client’s projects, but eventually, I knew this would evolve into something different.
And few years later, here we are, with the launch of Eternal drift. I’m extremely excited about this, and I hope you are too.
Many thanks, and welcome on board drifter!
Geo - Founder of ForgeEnclave, and creator of Eternal Drift
Thank you, and welcome
Eternal drift is more than just a catchy name and an excuse to publish miniatures, it’s the foundation of a new, expanding Sci fi universe. The idea behind all this is to first and foremost create the lore, then finds ways to materialize it via different mediums. Given ForgeEnclave’s history, declining its many characters into physical miniatures felt a logical first step in the right direction. The community has showed an incredible support so far, and will hopefully continue as we progress along the journey.
To make this possible, ForgeEnclave has worked with different freelance artists and is now ready to launch this project for you to enjoy. It was a difficult and rocky road, but thanks to the incredible people involved in this, this project is set for a bright future.
What you see here is only the begining.
The road so far
Phase I
As of writing this, we've committed to bring three characters to life via their own set of miniature and busts. Lil Kestrel, our very first release, is now available for pre-order, with full release planned for 14th of July 2026. In the background, we have two other characters in the work: Captain Bannock Beckett, currently being sculpted by the talented Kateryna Hrytsyshyna, and a third character being conceptualized by Vuong Le. From this point onwards, the evolution and continuation of this project will entirely rely on the commercial success of the miniatures.
With that being said, being optimistic about the whole enterprise, it’s expected to release one to two characters per year. While we’ll initially remain within the confines of Mankind and the Princess of Pele’s crew at first, we’ll explore other factions in due time.
What now?
Phase II
Stay tuned for the next phase. There's a lot being prepared in the background ( more minis, more lore, more artwork, loads of new stuff...) but unfortunately nothing we can share just yet. Subscribe on the newsletter, follow us on social media, and you'll know as soon it's ready!
FAQ
Q: What’s this commercial success you speak of?
Big picture, the development costs for a character requires that we sell approx. 90 models (bust or mini) to break even. That’s the first objective to keep the project running in the short to mid term. Anything above this number will allow new stuff faster but if we can’t reach this number within a reasonable timeframe, we’ll have to reconsider the approach.
Q: What about FOMO and limited editions?
FOMO and predatory marketing techniques are certainly one way we could reach our financial objectives, but this is not a business model we want to rely on. Yes, there will be pre-order deal, there probably will be some event discount and such, but all will be very moderate, and nothing will be a limited edition or engineered supply delays. We’ll do out best to cover the demand, within our (small businesses) capabilities. You can buy today, or you can buy next month, or next year, nothing is going away (unless force majeure and the likes).
Q: Why is it EU only?
Because we haven’t yet found a solution for outside of EU distribution. We certainly intend to make our product as available as possible, however, one must learn to walk before running. Finding a reliable distribution line outside of EU will be one of the priority post launch.
Q: How about AI?
In short, limited to the bare minimum one can reasonably expect nowadays. We have not used AI in any of our models, and do not intend to for the forseeable future. ForgeEnclave is committed to work with dedicated artists, whose creative process is not relying on generative AI to deliver their artwork. We’ll do our upmost to enforce this approach and have the creative process as authentic as possible for the longest of times. Should there be any change in this position, with intent or not, we’re committed to be as transparent as possible.
Q: I want to help/I have a great idea/I have a question!
Feel free to reach out by email or instagram. There is likely going to be other means of communication in the future (i.e: discord) but presently, we don’t have the manpower to set these tools in place. Remember it's a one man operation ( with trusted helpers, but still)
Q: I want to do a workshop using one of your mini, can I get a deal?
Let’s have a chat. Sky is the limit, so long it’s a win-win situation!
